The Teton River is always interesting to watch because of its tight relationship with Grand Targhee SWE. Based on melt at other similar years, snowmelt peak flow may not occur until June 1-15.

Snowmelt water is still feeding our rivers with enough from the higher elevation basins to generate another increase in the Big Lost River and Teton River. Weather outlooks are trending with more of the same weather for the rest of June – cool in southern Idaho / Nevada and warmer towards Seattle.

Always fun using Grand Targhee and Philips Bench SNOTEL sites to predict Teton River’s peak flow even though peak wont happen until mid-June.
